AB"DC"- Our Nation's Capital with a baby.

Meet your future President of the United States. Gray and Willa quickly pulling off their new shades!
Jonathan, Courtney and Willa
Gray's face in this picture is so funny. He looks smooshed.
Gray and Willa together are too cute for words. Courtney and I think they look alike.
Gray misses Willa already.
Gray's view from his crib. He really liked pulling himself up to look out the window and then screeched at the top of his lungs. It was a happy screech, but I'm sure our neighbors weren't too thrilled.
The humidity helped us realize that Gray may have curly hair.
Finally, something he got from his mom.Such a flirt.
Gray got so tired during this meal he started to rub his face and this is what we ended up with.
In front of the Captial.
I'm not sure what they were looking at, but this picture is adorable.

Such a gorgeous day!

I loved this work of art because I could see all of our initials in it.
K, D, G.

I had to throw this picture in. Anytime we were near the Washington Monument, we would see dozens of people taking pictures like this...pretending they were hugging, touching, kissing the monument. It was pretty funny. Needless to say, we didn't do it.
Running on The National Mall is so amazing.

Gray visits the President
Drew had a seminar in DC at the beginning of the week, so we decided to go a few days early to meet up with some of our friends (Courtney and Jonathan) who have a baby (Willa) that is 1 week younger than Gray. Courtney went to high school with Drew. She and Jonathan are so much fun to be around and Willa is the sweetest little girl. We had such a great trip with them and were so sad to see them go back to Pittsburgh.

The next few days, while Drew was in his meetings, Gray and I went for runs, ate at great restaurants, and took naps. It was fabulous. We also celebrated Gray's 9 month birthday while we were there...more on that later!

I am so glad to be home. We did the same trip last year when I was pregnant and let me tell you... this was a totally different experience. Traveling with a baby is challenging and eye opening, but it was so fun to share this experience with him.
