Happy 2nd Birthday, Lou! 

I realize I'm only 5 months late posting these pictures. Better late than never though, right? Lou celebrated with a few of her closest friends and had a great time. The highlight for me was when we sang "Happy Birthday" and you can see from the photos at the bottom of this post that she was pretty excited/embarrassed/happy about it!

Lou, you are such a joy! We love you with all our hearts!

Happy 23 Month Birthday Lou!

Lou will be 2 next week and boy is it apparent. She is a bossy, opinionated, and impossible. She likes to say "NO! THAT'S MINE!" to anyone that touches something she doesn't want them touching (strangers included). Since we have been having summer like weather, she has discovered how much she loves being outside...this means she has a full on tantrum anytime you have to ask her to come in. It's going to be a long summer. 

She also has a very sweet, loving, caring, adorable side. If you go in her room without Gray first thing in the morning, she'll say "Where is Gray, Gray?" (this is her nickname for Gray.) . She says, "I love you so much too, Mommy", "Gray, Gray you look so handsome", "Mommy your dress is so beautiful" (on the rare occasion I'm not wearing workout clothes.) She asks Gray to dance a lot and they grab hands and dance through the house. She has a really sweet side, she just needs to get through these terrible 2's, 3's and 4's. :)

Here's to one more week of being one! We love you Lou Lou!

Gray never wants his picture taken anymore. However, when I was taking Lou's 22 month pictures, Gray asked me to take his picture. FINALLY. He looks so grown up (he's 4 1/2 now) and so incredibly handsome...if I do say so myself. I love this kid.

I took these pictures a few weeks ago, but couldn't find the time to get them up on the blog. Figured I'd better make it happen before Lou turns 23 months in just a few days. I'll post all of Lou's happenings on the 23 month post. For now, just enjoy her cuteness. 

Gray's 4th Birthday Party!

 Gray LOVES golf, so the cake was PERFECT for him!

 He wanted to have his party at Jumpstreet which is a trampoline place for kids.

I can't believe it is January and I am just getting around to posting pictures from the party. Part of it is probably that I only took about 10 pictures and they are all pretty bad! However, I still want to document it, so you'll have to imagine 15-20 kids running around and jumping all over the place! Gray had a great time! He has been talking about his 5th birthday party since the day after he turned 4.

 

The cake was delicious and has a story that is worth sharing...I had picked up the cake Saturday afternoon because the party was a Sunday and the bakery would be closed. When I picked it up, they informed me that they made me the wrong cake flavor, so they credited my account and also gave me a gift certificate. I actually didn't care, since Gray wouldn't have noticed! Anyway, I got it home and put it down on a bench for one second to open the baby gate so I could take it down to our fridge in the basement. In the 5 seconds it took, Ellie had stuck her mouth in the box and licked a good part of the front of the cake. Oh, Ellie. I called the bakery to see if they had any other cakes they could just write "Happy Birthday Gray!" on and they didn't. They then got back on the phone and told me if I could come by on Sunday they would have a new one for me!!!! I was beyond thrilled! The new cake looked even better, was the right flavor and they didn't charge me for remaking it. I'm telling you this story because the service I received from Mulberries Cake Shoppe was AMAZING. I recommend them to everyone now and will forever use them!

 

It's funny to look at these pictures just 5 months after he turned 4 and see how much he has already changed. Such a loving, sweet kid who we love with ALL of our hearts.
