Christmas Countdown-10!

10 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!
I feel like 10 days until Christmas is a big deal, so I had to use my favorite Christmas Countdown photo of all time. Ever since Gray got these glasses, we feel he looks like Ralphie from "A Christmas Story." I have watched this movie every year around Christmas as long as I can remember!

Christmas Countdown-12!

12 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!
Lou tried so hard to hold back tears. She had been so excited to see Santa and I could tell she wanted to sit on his lap like Gray was doing...however, she got up there and couldn't hold back her tears. It was so cute. Gray was really excited to see Santa and had no problems going to sit on his lap. He asked for a "Pez dispenser, a new puzzle and a new game." Perfect!

19 months!

 Happy 19th Month Birthday Louise!

In her 18th month, Lou:

-began talking in sentences. They aren't perfect sentences, but I'm still impressed.

-has become increasingly more indecisive...
Lou: "I want socks."
Me: "You want socks on your feet?"
Lou: "YES!"
Me: "Ok, sit down and I'll help you."
Lou: "NO! NO SOCKS! NOOOOO SOOOOCKS!"

-Still loves anything from Frozen, Mickey or anything Gray is into.

-went trick or treating with Gray and 2 other good friends. She was a little hesitant at first, but by the end was going up to the door with the kids and then when they would close the door and the other 3 kids would walk away, she would say "trick or treat." She'll get it next year.

-continues to love Gray. She hugs him when he wakes up from his naps and asks "Where's Gray?" when he's at school. It's not all love and fun though. Lou wants Gray's toys, Gray doesn't want Lou to have them. Gray wants Lou's toys, Lou doesn't want Gray to have them. Seems like it should be an easy problem to fix, but not without a fight and tears.

Lou is still such a sweetie. She throws tantrums, has attitude, hits and bites, but she also she makes us laugh, gives great hugs and kisses, shows us all so much love and is such a joy to have in our lives. We love you little Lou.

One and a half.

You have no idea what it takes to get a picture like this. Scowl, crazy hair...this was the best one! ha.

Lou has this cool brown spot in her left eye, that I think you can finally see in a picture.

As we were taking Lou's picture, Nanny Neetie and Grandpa Jim came in the front door and Lou peeked at the front door and then went running to them with a big smile.

Even though Gray was sick today, he wanted his picture taken too! Cutie!

Lou is one and a half.

-She is opinionated. If she doesn't want something you are offering she hits it out of your hand. It's so sweet and super fun to deal with (not).
-She wakes up happy, has a great morning and then from about 3:00 until she goes to bed 6:30 she is cranky, bossy, emotional, demanding. This is also super fun to deal with (not).
-Lou's vocabulary amazes me every day. She is now saying two words in a row. "Sit down," "Where's Gray?" "Up Mommy!" just to name a few.
-She loves to ride in the bike trailer. She always has, but now she gets her helmet out and tries to climb in even when we aren't going anywhere.
-Lou continues to contribute to Ellie's love handles. She feeds her at least 1/2 of everything she eats.
-Lou loves to boogie down. Anytime there is music on, you can catch Lou bopping around.
-Lou has a thing for washcloths. She only likes the baby washcloths. She carries them around, puts them on her head (and then looks at herself in the mirror and laughs) or  lays them out flat on the carpet (and then lays her cheek on it). It's bizarre but hilarious.

Although Lou has entered a difficult stage, she is still such a sweet, happy, loving girl. I always said that 18-20 months were some of the hardest months when Gray was little.  I think Lou just started a little early and without a doubt will keep being difficult until she is 30.

17 months!

Happy (belated) 17 months!

Our little Lou is getting to be so big. She is living up to her nickname "Lou-zilla", the girl is wild.

-Lou tries to say almost any word. She is definitely going to be a chatterbox.
-If you ask Lou her favorite song, she says "ABC's."
-Lou loves to run as fast as she can in the house and fall on her stomach.
-Lou loves clothes, shoes, glasses, jewelry and socks.
-Lou's favorite thing to play with right now is anything Gray is playing with.
-Lou LOVES baby dolls. She feeds her dolls, gives them medicine, wipes their face with tissue. It's so cute.
-Our amazing sleeper has finally dropped to one nap a day.
-Lou feeds Ellie anything she is eating. She takes a bite, walks up to Ellie and offers her a bite too. So thoughtful. She also gives Ellie non-stop hugs. Such a lover.
-Lou has a super scary voice that sounds like something out of "The Exorcist." She thinks it's hysterical when she talks this way and we kind of do too. Gray however says "Lou, stop talking like that, it's too scary."
-Lou loves to hug! She squeezes everyone tightly and says "Ahhhhh hugs!"
-Lou LOVES books! If you could sit down for an entire day and read to her, she would listen.

Such a fun, wild, crazy, fearless, silly, loveable, huggable, girl! We love you, Lou Bear!
(I'm super behind on posts! I haven't forgotten about Gray's birthday, I hope to get to it soon!)

Sweet 16.

In the last month...

Lou has had 2 black eyes, fallen off the couch into the coffee table and fallen off of Ellie's chair on her head 3or 4 times.

Lou has no fear (which can explain the accident's above). She climbs onto everything and thinks she is as big as Gray. Cute, but so scary.

Lou says things like
 "No, no, no, no, no."
"Tickle, tickle, tickle."
"Hi Daddy (Mommy or Gray)."
"Big Girl"
The list goes on and on.

Lou loves to move. She runs so fast and falls most of the time. She also loves to dance and twirl around. Sometimes we will see her twirling even if there is no music.

Lou got to play with her cousin Nelson again. She loved him. Her Uncle Brian however, continues to scare her. Ha.

Lou loves the water. She loves to swim, loves the bath, loves water over her head.

Happy Birthday Lou Bear! We love you!
