Kristen's shower

Gorgeous.

Everything looked beautiful.
Sweets.
Kristen and her mom.

Kristen and my mom.
Hostesses and Mom-to-be.

I helped to host a baby shower for Kristen last weekend in Dallas...well, as much as I could help being in Denver. It turned out to be so beautiful and I think Kristen had a great time. It was such a joy to celebrate what is about to happen to my wonderful sister-in-law with her. She and Brian will be amazing parents. I am so happy for them and can only hope they enjoy every minute as much as Drew and I have.

Good luck in your last 2 months. It goes so fast. Enjoy it!

Little G in Big D

Gray and his collection of Rex Ray's that his Aunt and Uncle promised him for his 1st birthday.
Like father like son.
Grandma and Gray (love this picture.)
Of course, my mom was singing to Gray immediately.
Uncle Brian and Gray.
My favorite picture of my dad and Gray.
We started comparing Brian's baby pictures to Gray. There are a lot of similarities. Gray looks more like Brian than me, that's for sure.
The apple of their eye.
Drew's Uncle Mark and Aunt Yolima came by to meet Gray.Fitz and Gray. Gray loved Fitz licking his feet. Fitz loved stealing Gray's blabla's and dragging them to the driveway.
Mom-to-be with Gray and Fitz.

We flew down to Dallas last weekend to see my family and help throw my sister-in-law, Kristen's baby shower (more on that tomorrow.) Brian and Kristen are due May 5 and I am so, so, so, so excited to become an aunt. I can't wait for our kids to meet and for all of us to take trips together. Gray and Baby Bohn (they don't know what they are having) will be 9 months apart, so they will surely be close! Anyway, we had a great time visiting with my family, Fitz, our great friends Mike and Liz (Jerry too), Drew's aunt and uncle and Kristen's family.

Friends

A few weeks ago, Gray's friends Charley and Greta came over for dinner. Greta is turning 3 in a few days and Charley is 4 months old. These are two of the cutest girls around and Greta is such an amazing big sister. She is really sweet with Gray as you can tell in the photo above where she has him in the scissor hold. Gray had so much fun with them and I truly think was sad the next morning when he woke up and they weren't there. I look forward to the 3 of them having many, many fun times together.

Groovy Gray

The onesie Gray is wearing in this photo totally reminds me of the 70's. It is crushed velvet and has a corduroy collar and placket. So GROOVY, and that beard...well, that is just smooth.

I have so many random photos of Gray. I'm going to post them over the next few days. They are too cute not to share.

Gray's first Gymboree class.
Corinne, Rose and Gray.
Rose let Gray borrow her turkey hat for a picture.
Parachute time.

Rose has the cutest little smile on her face at all times. Rose and her family moved to Boston a few weeks ago. This made Gray so sad.
Sweet Corinne is such a beauty.

Bubble time.
Tummy time.
Tummy time. The little guy with the pacifier in his mouth is another one of Gray's friends, Drew. He is such a sweetie pie.
More parachute time.
Gray decides to try to get fresh with the new girl next to him...
by rolling over and grabbing her hand. Seriously, he must have stayed there for a few minutes, just hanging on watching the parachute.

Lizzie and Rose at Rose's going away play-date.

Gray has been going to Gymboree since he was about 3 months old. He loves it. He has made some really great friends there. Corinne, Rose, Lizzie, Drew and Sadie (who I can't believe I have no pictures of) are all such great babies with great moms. We have even started a little play-group outside of Gymboree. Because Gray spends most of his time with me, it is so nice for him to be able to see his friends a few times a week and let loose.

This week Gray moved up from Level I to Level II. Level I is for younger babies and for most of the class the babies lay on their blankets and you sing them songs. Level II starts when babies can sit up. Gray was the oldest in Level I and is now the youngest in Level II. His first class was a bit overwhelming for him. He started to cry a few times when he was over-stimulated. This class encourages you to use all of the equipment to help them crawl, pull themselves up, walk, etc. He still gets to do many of his favorite things like, parachute time (babies lie in a circle and we lift a huge parachute above them and lift it up and down while singing a song) and bubble time (Beth, our instructor blows bubbles at all of the babies and we sing a song.) However, there are many new things including baby soccer, which almost caused Gray a nervous breakdown.

I am so grateful for these classes. We have such a great time and look forward to making many new buddies.

man in the mirror

Ohhhhhh this video makes me laugh. In the morning when I make my breakfast I leave Gray in his room on his play mat. When I went to check on him, I saw him by the mirror. I ran to get the camera and was lucky enough to catch him kissing the "other baby" in the mirror. Adorable!

the king's babble

In honor of the Oscar's (even though they were horrible) I have decided to post Gray's movies all week. Enjoy.

I took this video right after he ate breakfast. He started talking and wouldn't stop. Really. This is an edited version. He must have gone on for 7 or 8 minutes. I think it is the coolest thing when he goes on like this. I wish I knew what he was saying. Does anyone out there speak "gibberish?"
