Smile!

Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing. ~Mother Teresa

bla. bla. bla.

My favorite of the blabla pictures. This monkey is about 3 times the size of Gray! I'm sure it will be his favorite as he gets older.

This dog has become Gray's favorite blabla. I think because of the contrasting colors. I prop this up by his changing table while changing him and he smiles at it the whole time.

This blabla blanket is amazing! People stop me all the time and ask to see it. You can't tell what it is in this picture, but it is an outline of a bird and says "Ask the robin." Adorable and so soft!

So, I know this hat is over the top, but I couldn't resist. Even if he only wears if for this one picture!

The blabla family, ever-growing.

Gray's Grandma Toni and Drew and I started him a collection of bla bla dolls before he was born. You may remember "Mr. X" (the muppet looking doll with the black and white sweater) being posted on my facebook page when we were in Telluride for Phish. Drew saw "Mr. X" in a store window and couldn't resist. He is just the right amount of funkiness and cuteness you expect from a blabla, yet a little more manly. :) If you aren't familiar with them, check out the website (www.blablakids.com). All of the dolls, sweaters, hats, etc., are knitted by hand by Peruvian artists.

Hard "2" believe!

2 MONTHS OLD!!!!

I can't believe I am typing this. Time seems to be passing so fast, it's scary. Gray has changed so much in the last couple of weeks. He is getting really good at holding his head up, he smiles all of the time, he's interested in his toys, he's cooing non-stop, he has outgrown his newborn clothes and is wearing mostly 3-6 month sizes, and he is finally getting some hair! He is the best baby and has slept through the night on a few occasions. Luckily, he only wakes up once during the night and goes back to sleep without any fits. We feel blessed to have such a happy, healthy, beautiful baby! Happy Birthday, Gray!

Grandpa's photo shoot

THANKS DAD!

Drew and I came home from our concert and my dad showed us these photos he had taken. I fell in love. They are so awesome! My favorite photos of Gray yet.

Quality time

My mom and dad flew up to Denver to watch Gray so that Drew and I could go to 3 nights of Phish concerts. They finally had some quality time with Gray and I think all three of them had the time of their lives. Gray has started smiling and laughing and he was really showing this new skill off to grandma and grandpa. He couldn't get enough of them. They were always able to make him smile, which made me smile. They also gave Ellie a ton of much needed love and attention! I feel so lucky to have such a great family and miss them already!

Thank you Mom and Dad!

Puttin' on the Ritz.

This weekend we packed up the cars with baby gear and headed up to Beaver Creek for Drew's law firms annual retreat. Every year they put up all of the attorneys and their families for 2 nights at The Ritz. We have 2 planned dinners that we have to attend, so we brought up Drew's parents, Mike and Toni to watch Gray at night (and during our spa treatments!) We were so grateful they were able to come!

Fall is my FAVORITE time of the year. I love everything about it... the clothes, the cool nights, the long shadows, the changing colors. We were so lucky on this trip, the weather was BEAUTIFUL and most of the leaves were still on the trees. Usually by this time of year, all of the color is gone. It was perfect!

Nap time
Gray's first night away from home was not his best. He didn't cry one bit, but he grunted the ENTIRE night. We weren't sure what this was about, but it kept us up all night. Drew came back to the room at 2am thinking he would get to sleep until he had to be at his 8am business meeting....boy was he wrong.

Top 5 iPhone Photos

This cracks me up every time I see it! I wish I knew what he was thinking.

It looks like he is telling a secret and winking. Like, "I really like it when my mom sings to me. Wink, wink."

This one kills me. It doesn't even look like him. My mom asked for a picture, which she does every day. I told Gray to smile for his grandma and instead he blew a kiss.

"Hi Mom, I'm in my milk coma."

Having an iPhone is a MUST when you have a new baby. It's so easy to take a quick picture (when you don't have your camera handy) and email them right away. They aren't the BEST quality, but they give grandma and grandpa a quick fix.

Peaceful Baby

Gray is so cooperative when I want to take his picture!

Will these little feet grow to be as big as his Uncle Brian's 15AAA?

My little man, so amazing.

GUITAR PANTS ROCK!

So, Gray has been dying to wear his guitar pants since he came home from the hospital and on Saturday he said, "Mom, I know my guitar pants don't go with my onesie, but I really want to wear them before they are too small. Do you think today could be the day?" He was so excited, I couldn't resist!

Gray thought his butt looked so good in his pants, he asked me to take a picture and post it for all the ladies.

I was laying at the opposite end of the couch trying to take a nap during half time of the Nebraska game. When I opened my eyes, this is what I saw. A little glare from across the room...then he said, "Why did you stop taking pictures of my pants? "

I'm 1 month old!!!!!

"Yo, Mom can't a kid get some cake on his birthday?"

I think he's throwing some sort of gang sign here.

"Look, I'm doing the Robot."

I think we almost got a REAL smile here.

To be or not to be....that is the question???

I can't believe my little man is a month old already. The amount of joy he has brought to our lives in this short amount of time is indescribable. Our lives are forever changed and we couldn't be happier about it. We love you Gray!

Dad and Mom

Our first baby, Ellie is handling the new addition pretty well. With the exception of wanting to steal any stuffed toy that Gray has in his room and jumping on every guest that comes over so that they will pay attention to her, she has (I hope) accepted the change. I have yet to take a picture of Gray curled up with Ellie because she wants to lick all the milk off of him.

Football is here....Gray wasn't as interested as Drew had hoped....give him time.

It's so amazing when he looks at me like he really knows who I am.

Mini Drew.
